Holleman Happenings
Rodeo Champion Inspires Students
Waller native and bareback riding champion Clint Cannon spends the day at Holleman for Western Day.  Students from the entire school were inspired to follow their dreams and never give no matter what challenges life throws at you.  It is always a special treat to see former HES students come back and share the stories of their success.

HES 5th Grader Places 3rd in The 2016
San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo
Dylan A. placed 3rd out of 56 sheep in the medium weight class. There were over 1,300 sheep entered into the show and of those 250 made the sale. Dylan was in the 91st spot for the sale. Dylan is an experienced sheep showman. Over the last few years, he has raised and shown sheep as far as Phoenix, AZ.  When asked what he thought about showing sheep he said, “It is a lot of hard work, but then when you get there it is a lot of fun.” It takes a lot of time and preparation to get ready for a sheep show. Dylan gets the sheep when they are young and has to walk them and work with them every day. He also has to feed and water them twice a day. Dylan’s family and friends are very proud of his accomplishments. He is headed to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo this month where he will be showing a steer and sheep. We wish him the best!
